The headphone jack seems to have glitch of sorts.
If i put headphones in I have to twist it to a certain point or it won't make contact and I can only hear background music and not the main ones.
 
Bring it in, they might replace it. Worst that happens is they wont, never hurts to try.

that happened to my iPod..
pull the headphones out just a little bit so that the stripes are still in the device, but a pull could easily get it out..
then you will get full sound...

apparently, according to the store i bought it off, it has something to do with the device 'blowing up' the headphones???!!!
 
is it me or they just give away iphones like hotcakes lol when i went in to check in for a dead battery i just mentioned a battery and they came out with a new one or refurb :p plus it was unlocked just on at&t still traveling purposes :D
