You get $300 in free stuff, and you are wondering if it is worth it? Lets say you sell the iPod touch for $150 and the printer for $50, and you pay say $30 in tax, you come out $170 ahead in that case...

Or you just take the free iPod touch and printer, and run with them...

Or, you do like me, and use that money towards a 32GB iPod touch(thus pay only $100 for it), give it to your lady, and bada bing bada boom! Then get a decent printer, and after rebate end up paying $100 for a $200 printer.
If I sell both on ebay then combined with Paypal I lose out on about 12.5% of that $200 (though I'd estimate more like $40 for the printer and $140 for the ipod) so that's $175.

The student discounted laptop is $1100. About $25 extra tax for me because of the printer and ipod.

So $1125 vs $1000, plus ~$175 for a difference of upwards of $50 that I would have to wait 8 weeks for to receive the rebate check and some time wasted either selling the ipod and printer on ebay/craigslist.

If I needed the ipod or printer, then yeah it's a better deal, but I don't really need either.

I got my rebate last year for an iPod touch in about 3 days. Sell it to a friend or even here on the forums. You can gift it on PayPal or something and waive the fee. I don't know exactly how PayPal works so correct me if that was wrong.

lol ok I'll think about it. If you got your rebate that quickly then maybe it's worth it.

And yeah that's how Paypal works...I don't think I'd be able to sell it on here though, it doesn't look like there is a buying/selling forum. And I know ebay/craiglist will be flooded with them soon driving the price down.
