do iPhones ever ship early?

My 6+ T mobile phone (ordered at apple.com) is scheduled to ship Oct. 1 to Oct. 6.

I'm unsure of my travel plans then and wonder if the phones ever ship earlier then estimated? Even a couple of days earlier would be nice.

Yes, they do sometimes ship early. When I pre-ordered an iPad Mini Retina, the shipping said 2 weeks or something, and it showed up in 3 days.
