Do macbook retina fans have a model number ?

I was wondering if the fans inside the macbook retina have an individual model number, like how there's a model number for the displays

Why wouldn't they? I'm sure Apple is able to replace them, that means they'd need some sort of identifier for inventory purposes.

Well that's just...not going to happen if you mean you send it in and they won't do anything to it. Beyond that, how will the serial number help for that part? If they replace it, the serial number will be the same. If they don't, same thing.
