Do mobileMe and iTunes have to have the same password?

I changed my mobile me password today because I didn't like it being the same as iTunes which I share with a few family members. In the past I had them the same but now wish them to have seperate passwords, is this possible? Today I changed my mobile me login password and it changed iTunes too

Can anyone help?

Yes. The password for MM and iTunes should be different ... security and all.

I agree, do you know why changing one changes the other? I changed mobile me and it changed iTunes.. It's a pain!

That makes no sense. My MM account password has never been my iTunes password. Are you using your Apple ID for both?
