With the new iMessage "Do Not Disturb" feature we can pick and choose individual messages to set to do not disturb so that we can disable the notifications on them, HOWEVER, I tried this and noticed that I still will get lock screen notifications of iMessages that I have setup.. anyone else experience this?

kind of pointless and an oversight by Apple.

Yeah, my friends and I were literally just talking about this (in a group iMessage, go figure). Everything turns off proper as far as sounds and vibration goes, but lock screen still lights up and banner still comes down when using the phone. Really hope they fix it.

I noticed this as well and was very disappointed as this was a feature I felt was long overdue and I was very much looking forward to it. I chatted with an apple support rep who suggested it should work when the phone is locked but you'll still get alerts if you are using the phone. I haven't been able to totally verify this but I think he was correct. Either way I told him that this feature needs to be better setup and he agreed and said he would report it up the chain and also encouraged me to do the same on my end by giving feedback here:
