Just updated devices to IOS 15.1.1 & whenever I activate 'do not disturb' on my iPhone, it's sharing it over to my wife's and sons too.

We've made sure share across devices & focus synching is off. There's no option to even turn it on as we don't use two-factor authentication. We share the same Apple ID & haven't set up family sharing.

We've never had any sharing issues until now.

Any ideas?
Cheers

Update -

Just opened up the keyboard on my Apple Watch and my wife got a notification on my phone to say I’d opened it!

That is the reason.
Apple ID should be personal.
IOS assumes all the devices are used by the same person and behaves accordingly.
Yep I appreciate that & it's something we'll now have to do. It's never been an issue until I updated my iphone to IOS 15.

If there's a workaround in the meantime, I'd be very grateful to know.

I’ve just tested with my devices and the option to turn off “share around devices” works as advertised so I am not sure why it is not the case on your devices.
Could it be that “share across devices” has been left ON on one of the devices and this is overriding everything else?

It should be noted that my devices are almost all different (phone, iPad, watch and 2x Macs). I don’t use multiple phones.

Thanks for trying. Share across devices is off & also greyed out so we can't even enable to then disable it again. This is because we don't use 2 factor authentication I think.

Trawling the net other people have reported similar issues with devices on the same apple id, since upgrading to IOS 15

We're having the same issue as well. DND turning on across all devices and the "share across devices" is turned off. It's definitely aggravating. We've all been under one account forever and never had issues like this. Thanks for posting this question. I wish there was a work around.
