Do not disturb not blocking notifications

I've noticed two things about mountain lion.

1. I get iMessage notifictions regardless if Messages is open or not. I can live with that.


2. Turning on do not disturb mode doesn't stop sounds from iMessage from coming through, not sure if it blocks the banners.

I was wondering the same thing, in the DP versions, it seems to be a half moon in the menubar, but I don't seem to have that? 😕

Open Notification Center and scroll up. You'll see a Show Notifications toggle.

Messages was open. Icon was jumping in Dock and also there is a red bagde for a new message.

About sound, i can't say nothing, because sound was on mute ;-) But there were no banners.
