I was just picking up lunch and was waiting in a drive thru, and instinctively picked up my phone while waiting. Instead of getting the message "I am not driving", after pressing touch ID, I was able to just unlock the phone. It remained in DND mode because when I locked the phone, I got the message again that I was in DND mode. I set up my phone to go into DNDWD when it connects to the car's Bluetooth. Previous to 11.0.1, I couldn't unlock the phone without clicking "I am not driving". Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Mine has only worked once when it first came out. Hasn’t worked since and neither 11.0.1 or 11.1 have fixed it (for me).

I manually turned it on yesterday (I had to get it to do anything) and I still got a notification from Amazon. It really is rubbish at the moment.

Same here. I've got mine set to enter DND when connected to car bluetooth. It always enters that mode and blocks incoming calls or texts. But about half the time it'll still let me access the phone, and half the time it won't... I thought maybe it had something to do with the motion of the car (locks you out when moving, lets you in when idle), but that's not actually the case. Sitting in line at the carwash, I get locked out. Cruising down the road, I can get in if I forget and try to look at something.
Not sure exactly how its supposed to work, or what the criteria are for operating as designed.

Mine didn't work once, Bluetooth was connected but Do not disturb did not activate.
All the other times it worked, it activated and I got no notifications.

They need to fix this. They definitely have the capability in the handset via aGPS/GPS to determine that you're in motion (coupled with the car bluetooth pairing) - they should only allow access when you're not moving (unless you select to override) - ex - if someone is on a deserted road being followed/stalked by someone out of their mind. :)

They also need to account for the passenger thing - as we have shared vehicles - on detecting the car bluetooth pairing, you should be prompted if you're the driver or a passenger.

Maybe you weren't moving so it allowed you? I don't connect through bluetooth and it works for me.
