Apple is peculiar and so are some practices many companies now engage. For some, a purchased item under warrantee that malfunctions may not be repaired but replaced by a refurb. Somehow, the idea of paying full price and ultimately ending up with a refurb would bother many.

I have only two issues with Apple. One was a very immediate swap for a new unopened same item (years ago) and the other was recent - I had a fairly new Airpod Pro gen2 with an issue as the left earpiece volume did not work properly and remained low. Consider me one of those people who is overly careful with items like this. Apple under the Care+ warrantee took them via mail along with the right earpiece and the case. Days later I get the same model items back with absolutely no information on what was done. There was only the reference to the faulty left earpiece. I have no clue if they replaced it or both did some sort of "repair" or what. Apple gives ZERO information. I find this a bad practice for a "+" type of additional coverage that one pays for. Btw, both earpieces work and at times it seem the left earpiece while in the case does not always charge or is slower than the right.
 
Let me make it as clear as I can.
Apple first said they did not know why I did not have it, and then said they did not know where it was!! They said they had lost it! Again I had mailed it back to them with THEIR BOX AND SHIPPING THAT THEY SENT ME! Then after I do not remember if it was weeks or what, but I kept calling and then they admitted they DESTROYED my appletv, WITHOUT ASKING OR WARNING OF ANY KIND!
Apple DID NOT COMPENSATE ME IN ANY WAY FOR DESTROYING PROPERTY THAT I OWNED AND PAID FOR, that they basically stole and then destroyed!!!!
I have been a Apple fan boy for decades and still own Apple stock!
Apple seems to have gone way downhill. Still probably better than Microsoft OS and computers though.
I had a top of the line Dell that was a massive headache. I then bought the apple laptops, desktops, phones, earbuds, tvs, multiple lightning cords due to them constantly failing, breaking and not staying connected.
I STRONGLY WISH THEY WOULD PUT HEADPHONE JACKS BACK IN THEIR PRODUCTS! LIGHTNING SUCK! It will not keep a good connection.
Apple Music/Itunes offers lossless high resolution audio but none of their products play it, how stupid is that!!!!
I also have an apple studio M1 Max that will not play high res audio! Also this same Studio will not sleep! I have wasted many hours with Apple Care, and no fix, Common Apple, Why should I have to pay another chunk of money for accessories and or hardware to listen to Hi Res music?
If you want to continue to call me a lier, keep floating down from the sky as solid H2O crystal.

I almost forgot Apple even made me go to FEDEX twice and ask them to try and find my appletv before they admitted they destroyed my appletv!!
More waste of my time and FEDEX!!!

Call Apple, when you're done with complaining here, and become clear of what claims you have on them. We can't help you, Apple only can if you talk with them about your concerns and explained what've happened.
As I stated in a post of mine in this thread, be persistent and ask to talk to someone who really can and want to help you.

have you spoken to your doctor, maybe your meds need looked at. i mean that genuinely.

Apple are not going to tell a customer they destroyed their property and then end all communication with the customer, that is not how Apple do things because Apple know there are legal ramifications if they were to do such things to customers property. I therefore believe there is something the OP is not telling us and thus trying to get us all to believe that Apple is the bad one here.

I know you can get people at any customer service that aren't helpful. Whether it's their own personality / beliefs or how they are taught... instructions they are following...

Can only suggest asking to escalate your issue to a higher level and not accept no for an answer, assuming the information provided is correct.
