I know on the iPhone that the location of photos is embedded into the code somehow. Is this the same with photos taken on Photo Booth on the MacBook?

Basically, if I upload photos online that I've taken on Photo Booth, will anyone be able to track down where these photos were taken?

    Thanks.

The iPhone has GPS, the Macs do not. Due to their lack of a cellular chip. Unless they are triangulating your position through nearby WiFi points, you're safe. And even then, I doubt Apple is doing that for Photo Booth photos. There's also no way to view EXIF data in photo booth like there is in the Photos app in iOS.

You can always find a free EXIF data viewer on the MAS and check the EXIF data yourself. But services like Facebook and Imgur strip all personal info out (such as the GPS coords), they may even go as far as removing all EXIF data. But those services, especially Facebook, may keep that geo-data stored on their servers away from the public/friends.
