Yeah, at least as far as I know, Apple refurbs only come in the brown box, no inner box at all.
My Mac Pro shipped in it's retail box; no outer box and no it didn't say kick me 😉
mine just arrived in a white box, nothing but packaging and the computer inside. Not entirely thrilled with the way it was packaged -- the white box had those handle cut outs, which are convenient for carrying but left the computer completely exposed to the outside world. In other words, there were wholes in the box that made the brushed aluminum visible from the outside, and susceptible to easy moisture, damage.
But the MP itself should have also been surrounded by pretty heavy plastic.
Nope, just the squishy material that covers all computers. Nothing that would keep out moisture, and it was easy to tear and was torn.
