Do screen protectors remove oleophobic coating?

Do screen protectors remove the original coating? I would guess so.
Can you replace it after? I would guess so.

No, they don't remove the coating and yes you can replace oleophobic coating if it is removed using a 3rd party system - http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...=mobile&field-keywords=oleophobic+coating+kit

Whats special about the coating that it doesn't come off with the screen protector adhesive?

The bond between the coating and the glass is stronger than the bond between the screen protector and the coating so it won't be removed when the protector is.
