Do Series 9 Boxes Include Only One Band?

When I tried to buy a Series 9, it asked for my wrist size for the band. I don’t remember the same thing for Series 8. Do the new Watches come with only one size of band?

Don’t know but they are trying to save resources used to produce it (it is claimed to br the first product carbon neutral) so it’s easy it can be so.

As far as I can see it depends on the band. The loop bands have different sizes for wrist length. The rest of the bands are one size, except for a few that are S/M or M/L

Are you sure we had to choose S/M or M/L for Sport Band? My Series 8 came with both S/M and M/L Sport Bands.

I've had every Apple Watch. They only came with the band which I selected when ordering.

I know when I bought my ultra last year for the alpine loop and trail loop you had to choose a size and only got the 1 band In the box. The ocean band is 1 size fits all.

every watch I've bought has only had one strap in the box. This year I've ordered an Ultra2 and had to specify the band size at order.

The sports band came with one and a half band. There was one top piece, and two bottom pieces of different lengths. I think what the OP is pointing out is that it appears that now we will only get one bottom piece when we buy a sports band.

Correct, AW 7 and 8 came with 2 different half lengths depending on your wrist size.

My ordered sport loop had to choose S/M or M/L size so guess they are dropping one of the half lengths to save money and resources.

The Sport Loop has been one size fits all. In fact, I just checked the Watch 9 ordering page and it still is. You don't choose S/M or M/L.

I pre-ordered this in S/M size band but really wanted the magnetic band which they are out of stock.

?? That's strange! When I set up an order for an Apple Watch 9, and pick “Winter Blue Sport Loop”, there is only one size!

That's true when shopping for that band alone, too!

AFAIK, the Sport Loop has always been that way — and has never come in S/M or M/L sizes! It's the Velcro one, nicely adjustable, one size fits all (or nearly all).

Alright! Yet, that's a photo is of the Sport *Band*, not the Loop. (Apple's terminology muddies the water.)

The Band used to come in 3 pieces, but Apple switched to forcing buyers pick the S/M or M/L size. Even with the current refurbished Series 8s, you have to choose whether to go with the S/M or M/L Sport Band.

The Sport Loop is an entirely different band. (Much like the Beatles are different from The Rolling Stones! 😁)
