Being in the UK I’m unfortunately heavily reliant on WhatsApp, and I also use outlook as it does more stuff for me than apples mail app. Does this mean I won’t be able to benefit from context awareness?

Do Siri’s context aware features only work with Apple’s 1st party apps?

That would be up to WhatsApp to implement. You won't see apps updated until September at the earliest, so for now it is just first party apps.
So it will likely be a case of me approving Siri to have access to WhatsApp and outlook? I’d be ok with that, though WhatsApp’s glacial development pace means it won’t happen until we get iOS 35.
if the developer has been using app intents I believe they can donate those intents to siri for context, interaction, etc. apple has been laying this groundwork for a few years with app intents: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appintents

what are you asking regarding whatsapp?
it can't read messages from whatsapp but if you ask it regarding whats on your screen it can scan the whatsapp for content
however all 3rd party apps will be supported. apple has granted developers to add it to their app so once it's live hopefully will be even better

it works just not as well. there has been many issues with pixel way of doing things. currently onscreen awareness from apple is the best as it reads all apps and content on screen and gives you more data and information to go on based on using both.
