Do the paid upgrades to iCloud storage space include the free 5GB?

I paid to purchase the 20GB iCloud option. I was under the impression that this was in addition to the free 5GB that I already had. Apparently not, my total iCloud storage shows 20GB instead of 25GB. I guess you're actually buying 15GB. That's not quite enough for all my photos, yet 200GB is far too much. Oh well, I guess I will back them up to a local disk.

That's a lot of photos. So maybe you should reserve iCloud Photo Library for more recent photos?

The pricing options are not added on. You're paying for the final storage. If it would be add on then you could theoretically add on another 20GB for another 99 cents but that's not possible, but it sounds cool.

I am not sure what the point of your thread is, since you clearly already know the answer to your question?
