Do the retail stores accept personal checks?

I apologize if this has been asked before, I've searched online extensively and can't seem to find a concrete answer

I'd just call my store but they're closed for the holiday. Will an apple retail store accept a personal check for my MacBook Pro 15" purchase?

Thanks man and I know there are lots of results, but I don't really trust sources from 2008-2012 which are all I really found

The one I worked at did. All checks went thru Telecheck. If Telecheck had any issues authorizing the check, the customer had to call them and figure it out.
