I held my friend’s iPhone 6S Plus in a case last night and, wow, it is so much lighter than my iPhone X. You don’t realize how dense IPhone X is until you hold a Plus. The battery must be packed inside

The added weight is from the glass backing, stainless chassis and added wireless charging capabilities inside. But given that it's more comfortable to hold with the new form factor, I think it's less of an issue compared to the Plus model with the width trying to use it one handed.

Personally, I love the added weight. It's not enough to make using it uncomfortable but enough to make it feel premium, IMO.

It kinda puts the Walther PPS M2 I carry every day on my belt into perspective.

A fully loaded PPS M2 in 9mm weighs about the same as 4 iPhone X’s. 22oz or so.

That's still lighter than a beer. Generations of evolution have helped us develop arms that are perfectly designed to hold the weight of a typical 12 to 16 ounce beer for extended lengths of time. As long as our smartphones are lighter than that, we should be able to hold them for awhile as well. Cheers!

I got the opposite feeling. I picked up my 6+ today and it felt like a brick compared to my X. Looked uglier too lol

The 6S Plus is 192 grams by itself. The X is 174 grams. So not sure what you are experiencing.
