Surely they won't do it at seperate times so surely at worse the new iphone won't be out until at least early to late september?

    I strongly disagree.

    I hope you were joking.

The iPhone 5 will be released this year

iOS5 will be officially launched on a brand new iPhone device, most likely called the iPhone5 this Sept/Oct. And no 4G this time, not enough LTE coverage around the country yet, plus it is a big hit on battery right now, they will wait till the kinks are worked out next year for the iPhone6 to add 4G.

Every new iOS launch, always came with a brand new iPhone.

Pretty sure about it, can't see them not doing it to be honest.

Both iPod Touch 5g and iPhone5 should be released concurrently with iOS 5.

Fall goes deep into December, so "at worst" is certainly not September.

By together, do you mean a few days apart like iOS4 and iPhone 4?

But the new phone will definitely have iOS5 pre loaded

Unfortunately we have to wait for the new iPhone. Get the developer version if your fingers are itchy.

Why do we need another thread asking this question?

They shipped iOS 4 with iPhone 4 last year.

They shipped Mac OS X Lion with the new Macbook Airs today.

Why wouldn't they do it for iOS 5 and iPhone 5?
