Very much so!

Not until the ToDo and Notes functions sync with all desktop computers, both Mac and Windows. Apple needs to come up with an iTunes-like desktop program that handles the PDA functions, including Calendar and Contacts. All the workarounds people are using at the moment to get their Calendar and other PDA info synced with various programs and services are ridiculous.

Well, MS didn't release an ActiveSync for Pocket PC's back when I had mine (2002-4). Which was kinda ridiculous. The only workable alternative was to buy extra syncing software. No. Thanks.

It's good, but MobileFinder is much, much better. It lets you create text files, folders, and even better, it sets up some sort of FTP server, and lets you drag and drop files from any mac or windows computer with a web connection, and if you're in a wi-fi zone. Plus, tis only two bucks.
Looks interesting and has some nice features.

Which is better? I think it depends on your needs. For example, can MobileFinder display in Landscape mode at this time?

Both developers are busy updating their applications, so they both will get better in the future.

As for file transfer, I prefer FileMagnet's approach. Currently they provide a free downloader which is extremely easy to use. Mac only now, but Windows version to follow.

Cost wise, MobileFinder is $2.99 and FileMagnet is $4.99.

Competition is good. :)

Agree, Apple should provide syncing of all iPhone/Touch built in apps.

The user is left to decide if they want something more powerful in a particular area, but the basics should be covered.

both look good. I'm debating which to purchase.

How is it NOT a PDA? It's more PDA than all of the PDAs 4 years ago.

Well, actually not true as I still use a PDA made 4 years ago that does more than the iPod touch. The touch can't still take pictures, record video, take voice memo's, create and edit office docs, etc.. Its a nice, simple basic pda with great media value, but not that great of a PDA.

It has replaced my Dell Axim x30h as my PDA with a lot of extras as well. I have MS Office and Vista on my laptop PC and sync's fine :p , I wish I had gotten a 16g oh well maybe a upgrade in the future :apple:
