My Power Mac died a week ago. It was my only computer. Until I get my new iMac, I'll be using my Wii and its Opera Browser for online activities. Slow as f***.

Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro. Thinking of buying a 27" iMac as a bigger display for the MP, as soon as Apple can think of selling a displayport-to-displayport cable to connect the two.

(I would rather buy that 27" display without unnecessary stuff inside, for smaller price of course...)

previously i had a G4 MacMini and then i purchased my Macbook1, Sold the Mini, so im down to a single Laptop.

I too am pondering the idea of a new MacMini or an iMac (current or previous gen)

Its nice having the best of both worlds, gives some rest time for the batteries on the laptops.

Maybe it takes getting used to, but I don't like laptops. The keyboards are cramped, the trakpad is clumsy and the screens too small.

I have both a laptop and a desktop - the laptop is great to take places, but my desktop has a LOT more power available (and my laptop would choke trying to run two monitors in addition to the one it currently has. It's the GMA 950-equipped 2006 MacBook).

I'm like the iPhone guy, though - having an iPod touch has eliminated most of the reasons I had to carry a laptop around.
