Do you have an Apple Sticker on your Car?

I sell cars. :)

If anyone wants help buying one let me know. I'm pretty good at working deals. Not to say buy one from me but I'll help with a deal.(ie advice)

I got stickers with my new emac, and it's one of the new ones.

I wonder if that report gave the actual percentage figure for their claim? I have a Mac sticker on my car and a personalized licence plate... hell I even have my iPod holder in plain sight (but I'm not dumb enough to leave my iPod in there). I find alot of those stories fear mongering sensationalism. Even sadder is the underlying theme to the story (i.e. The only way to protect yourself is to blend in, be anonymous, don't talk to anyone, lock your doors, run and hide...) which boils down to a kind of 'expressing freedoms or individuality is trouble' mentality.

At any rate I'm happy to see people with Mac stickers on their cars. It's nice to know that I would have something in common with that guy ahead of me (other than being stuck in traffic). :)
 
I was driving one time and saw a car with a sticker that said "Powered by (apple logo)"... thought it was neat. I don't have an apple sticker on my car, but I do have apple/panther doggy tags hanging from the rear view mirror.

My apple stickers were buried in with all the warranty and manual stuff that no one ever reads. After I received my glorious new Powerbook and reveled awestruck and amazed at its perfect glory, I rooted through all the papers to claim what I knew was mine. It's now firmly emblazoned on the back of my Jeep, across from the ON-ON sticker.

i don't know how the crime is in toronto, but in major us cities, car theft is rampant...mostly, it just comes down to common sense...it's ok to have individuality, just don't be stupid about it...when i visited the island of kauai, locals told me there is no car theft...with an island in the pacific which has a radius of a few miles and a road that goes around it...and not even completely around...i would say that your car is safe

i would not want to park a customized license plate sportscar, which indicates wealth somehow, or let's say, a stanford law school alumni sticker or the like, and park the car overnight in the bad areas of los angeles ;)

my friend who has a flashy car seems to always have it broken into where he lives and sees that the less flashy cars, which is every car in sight, are not broken into...he's not rich, but the perps think he is and breaks into his car anyway just in case he has goods locked in his trunk...his car is immaculate and tricked out...he has a college sticker on the windshield from an expensive college

basically, the car sticks out in the neighborhood it's parked in and though it's a working class area and there are nicer homes than the one his car is parked in front of, his car is much different than the old wrecks that litter the neighborhood ,or newer cars which are much more low key in appearance

i worked for this very rich entrepreneur who owned several stores and he used a van to shuttle goods between them and his warehouse...that van was the most unsightly, rusted piece and he did it to hide what he had inside...which often were expensive antiques he would buy from estates and dealers

I have a black and white Mini Cooper so it was a nice match to add a white Apple sticker in the centre just above the bumper. You will have to imagine it, I don't have a decent digital camera with me.

I am not worried about the sticker attracting attention, I am more concerned with my iPod being on show inside the car, but until there is a good linkup to the stereo it will have to be.

I am pretty certain my new 12" 1.33Mhz G4 Powerbook didn't have Apple stickers with it, I'll double check but I used the ones from my G3 iMac.
 
There were stickers bundled with the manuals for my G5dp2.5.

I've kept the stickers from every Mac I've installed over the years, which means I have a stockpile of 100 or so sets of various styled Apple logo stickers. Can't remember if they included stickers with the Apple IIgs but I kept the little Apple logo hex wrench included from all of those I installed.

Also have a small stack of the Mac OS logo sticker sheets. One of those are on my bike helmet.

Haven't put a sticker on my car but then I personally don't like to put stickers on my car. Can you imagine driving down the road in 2004 with a Gary Hart campaign sticker?

i have one on my vehiCross in the right corner of the rear window. nice that two of the three loves in my life can now share something! I also plan on getting a ghosted one painted on when i get the gloss coat refinished.

I'm missing a no Dubya sticker. But I'm worried about putting stickers on my paint, I don't know how hard they are to get off.

Hopefully Apple continues to include stickers with their comps, that's my last one. There's a TL out there with my name on it, ready for an Apple sticker as soon as I graduate. The TL's the carrot, poverty is the stick.

For some reason my html doesn't work here. I am guessing there is a different way here?

It's in the posting window thingy as well. I should be less lazy and learn more about how the site works. This is a cool idea though, I see cars all over the place with stickers.
 
I've seen it in a friend's car, but no mine. I don't put anything in my car; no maps, no accessories, no fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror, empty glove bin, nothing.

Usually a heat gun can help get a sticker off your car, but if your cars paint job is crap, then the paint might come off with the sticker. If you're worried, put it in the window.

Personally, I'd never stick anything on a painted surface of my car.
 
i have seen the no W sticker everywhere

i prefer the ones with sayings such as,

"somewhere in texas a village is missing its idiot"

or

"please help save the environment, plant a bush back in texas"
