I currently have an iPad Pro 11inch. I loved the size when I got it as I previously had the 12.9 inch pro and it was way too big and I never used it. I got the pro, but don’t really do any thing on it that requires a pro. I’m debating getting a mini so it’s short easy to carry around. Do you love the size of your mini or wish you had a bigger one?

I have a mini and I do like it - but also got an 11" iPad Air and tend to use it most of the time around the house.

The mini is great for taking with me, but I'd like to replace it (and my iPhone) with an iPhone Fold.

I sometimes wish I had a bigger one, but you learn to work with what you've got.

For me, the iPad Mini is the perfect bedside consumption device. I use it for reading a lot, streaming shows and YouTube. I do occasionally do some productivity stuff on it; Apple Pencil support is useful (for me). iPad Mini may become obsolete in my life once I lay my hands on the iPhone Ultra, though.

I have a 13" M5 Pro and a Mini 6. I rarely use the Mini - I find I don't really care for the small screen size and I've been spoiled by the display quality of the Pro. It's a purchase I'd like to turn back the clock on.

Yep. I am using it now to make this reply actually. A very powerful everyday device. I am excited for the Mini 8 and it's redesign as it will become even more awesome.

I use my mini to fill in for when my iPhone is inadequate for the activity. So the water resistance is needed.

I am also getting an iPhone Ultra, but it won't replace my mini when I am away from home, only while at the house. This is mainly cause I don't use cellular tablets and it gives me a chance to replace both.

Other than my Mini, I have a M4 Air 13" that I use for gaming, and an 2020 iPad Pro 13" that I use to manage smart stuff. I prefer the laminated screen it's nice. But the mini is way better of an experience to use.

Yeah, the Mini is my favorite device to use casually at home. Since I use it so much and like to keep it with me, my only issue is it doesn't fit in my pocket. So if anything I wish it was a little smaller, either that or I wish it folded.

But I also have a 13" iPad with keyboard, which I use almost exclusively as a laptop (I also use the Pencil, otherwise I would have a MacBook Air or Neo). To me the two iPads have very different purposes, but if I had to choose one, I'd have to choose the 13" with keyboard only because productivity is higher priority than entertainment (even if I spend more time in entertainment). I wouldn't get a 11" iPad as a compromise to try to do both for the same reason. I'd rather prioritize productivity and just use my phone and TV for entertainment.

But that's me and my particular situation. Everyone is different.

13"iPad + Wireless Keyboard and Apple Pencil pro is a really intimate and enjoyable way to play some of the iPad games. That's what I got my M4 air for. I contemplated getting a pro but couldn't fanthom leaving that much hardware reserved just for rollercoaster tycoon.

I have mini and Pro 11”. As usual, there is honeymoon period when you bought new stuff. After it’s over, I found that my real productivity (brainstorming ideas, completing serious tasks, reading books and magazines) was when I use iPad Pro. I am not saying, mini is not capable of doing those things, but the significant results I got is when I use Pro. I knew this is subjective but probably can add more perspectives to OP.

The Mini wield and ability to be concealed cannot be beat. The 11" and 13" stuff is very unwieldy and can't be stowed if you don't have a bag on you. I don't have anymore 11s anymore but when I did I used to have to use a hand strap. Much of time I'm doing meetings or presentations and the mini doesn't cause much of a distraction at all.

I enjoyed my Mini 7 a lot, but it died just over a year after purchase with light, gentle use and I decided against another one to replace it, opting instead for an M3 11" Air.

I had an older 12.9" iPad Pro (2017 model) and downsized to a Mini 6 and now I have a Mini 7. I don't do much productivity work with iPads so the Mini is perfect for me for general browsing, online shopping etc. and content consumption. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max as well, and if I'm not using the phone or Mini I'll grab one of my laptops, usually my Surface Pro 9.

For me the Mini is great for travel as I can easily carry it in a sling and it works well for media consumption on a plane or train ride etc.

I used to have one, back in the day. I wanted to love it. It was awesome in a very narrow set of circumstances, but outside of that I was constantly wishing for a larger screen. I ditched it at the first possible occasion, and got an iPad Air 2, which I still use. 10 years later.

I keep wanting to like the mini, but I just don't have a use for one.

What bothers me with the minis that I’ve owned is that I’m very susceptible to screen defects (not all but certainly too many, e.g. blooming [edit: not relevant to the minis, so I’ll add jelly scrolling]). I have also always found the size wanting but that was back when the iPads had 9.7” screens (and the minis 7.9”). I find that I use my 11” iPP almost exclusively in/on its keyboard case and I’d rather something more portable.

If the next mini comes with the rumoured OLED I will once again be tempted into getting one and I hope that the rumoured absence of ProMotion will not bother me too much.

I've also had an 11-inch iPad Pro since 2018. But the current iPad mini is a great device for picking up, placing around the house, relaxing with, taking out with you, et cetera – it might be the truest realization of what Steve Jobs was trying to convey during the original iPad keynote. (And it's still high on computing power.)
