Still undecided - I was set on the 11" so I would use it as a tablet first, but after seeing the better whites and contrast which makes text look slightly sharper on the XDR display - I'm leaning to the 12.9".

The size and weight of the 12.9" is my only concern when using as a tablet. Waiting on WWDC - if we get floating windows or better multitasking/split screen then the 12.9 is a lock.

My 2018 12.9" is still going strong so I'm saving up money for a MBP 16" upgrade (hopefully revealed next week). That being said, I will probably get 12.9" again next upgrade if Apple keeps differentiating the two devices outside of screen size, like putting mini LED in 12.9" and not in 11" for this current gen.

Do you Watch i update or something else Technology related on YouTube?

11”

cheaper. perfect size. lighter.

12.9” is huge and heavy. I definitely wouldn’t be dragging that about. the Mini led isn’t worth the extra £250. if Apple put OLED in the these iPads that’d be a different story. Mini LED just can’t compete.

Sure the 11” display isn’t as good but doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s a fantastic display and only time it can’t hold up to my OLED phone/TV is when watching HDR.

I’m perfectly happy with the 11” and that £250 I saved has gone toward my AppleCare+ and an Apple Pencil :) that’s far more use and value to me than 12.9” and Mini LED.

I like to use my iPad standing up while at work on the production floor and I’ve been trying to use the 12.9 the same way and it’s awful. Can’t type as fast either while in my hands as the 11. The 12.9 is perfect if I want to use the keyboard but for my use case the 11 just works so much better. If I do send back the 12.9 I will miss that screen tho

I ordered the moment preorders opened. I went with the 256gb 11 because I already had a magic keyboard free to me (wife got it for air 4) and as much as the screen seemed amazing, since I wanted to be able to grab the device and go ( I work at Ford Motor Company in manufacturing) the size advantage of the 11” was better for me. It has been great so far and no regrets on getting the 11 over the 12.9 for me

I picked up the 12.9” with the new keyboard… Trying to see if I can successfully use it as a laptop replacement.. I am a home user so I am thinking it’s doable..

The only issue I have so far is that the room has to be almost pitch black for the keyboard backlight to turn on which is kind of a bummer..

Bought both the 12.9 and 11 models and decided to only keep the smaller one.

I will likely buy the upcoming 14" Macbook Pro instead for a proper OS..

Tried both sizes several times (okay, 11” 2021 I tried/exchanged several times because of configuration needs and the penultimate model having a dim area in the display; 12.9” XDR I tried twice, the second time after that second-to-last 11” model).

The XDR display really grew on me the second try because the bloom and border shadow seemed markedly less perceptible, which was confusing, but regardless it went back because I decided I just hated using the larger device as a tablet and that the smaller Magic Keyboard is actually more functional for me. Sometimes less is more.

Before (let’s hope) finally settling on an 11” Space Gray 256GB iPad Pro 2021 with cellular I took a more budget-conscious (and beautiful) blue iPad Air 4 for a spin and it really was lovely save for the display’s halved refresh rate which to my very sensitive eyes nearly made it feel like half the iPad. For a few hundred more I was able to get the same 256GB capacity plus twice the RAM and that silky 120hz display which so far is appearing pretty perfect…and I’m happy!

:)

I was using a 2018 iPP 11” 64GB LTE model for work in the field, but the storage was becoming an issue. Fortunately, I was able to find a 2021 iPP 11” 256gb LTE at my local ATT store last night. Not a huge change in any way other than the additional storage I needed. Plus I sold the old one for $500 to a family member. However, I am hoping that WWDC does lead to something special for these new M1 iPads. Time will tell…
