Do you hide your Dock?

MacOS X by default has the Dock visible at all times. Personally, I find this takes up too much screen real estate and hide the Dock. Now with the sudden surge of Mac users (at least I see a lot of Macs on campus these days), it just bothers me to see Docks that aren't hidden! All that screen real estate wasted! 😀

Am I the only one that feels this way?
