Or naked when you carry it around? For some reason I feel weird just throwing it in my backpack and going. Like one wrong bump is gonna shatter it into a million pieces

Just naked in a pocket in my backpack until I need it and/or it's time to juice it up. I don't think it's nearly as fragile as some would have you believe.

I use this, google "Smencils" :)

I carried it in the box for the first week... then gave up and just stuck in a pocket behind all of my other pencils/pens in my backpack.

No problems so far - but it's only been a couple of months!

Naked, but I'd like an all in one iPad case that can hold the pencil as well. If the Otterbox isn't a hulk I'll probably consider it seriously.

Nekked. Kinda wish it was an inch shorter. Doesn't fit into my bag's organization compartments @_@

Still carrying it around in the original box packaging. Makes a pretty nice cradle for it actually, but still wish for something more portable, as I would to be able to just walk into class carrying my iPad (with attached Apple Pencil) and nothing else.

After keeping it in the retail box, I got a bit fed up with that. This was my solution: Urban Armor Gear UAG-IPDPRO-BLK-VP. It's... okay and works well with the Smart Keyboard but the big aluminium foot on the rear of the case adds quite a bit of bulk and scratch potential. It'll do for now.

I have this case for mine:

Wenger JETT Carrying Case for 10.2" Netbook, iPad - Black, Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004BR2SOO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_PwMexbFJ6M8E8

It actually has two main areas separated by a divider, so you can fit two separate iPads or iPad minis. I put my Pencil in the front accessory pouch, my adapters and chargers in the extra iPad area, and the iPad Pro in the other area.
