Do you leave your keyboard and trackpad on all the time?

Hi I got my imac about a month ago and I'm still getting used to it. I work from 8-5 and use it everyday when I come back from work. Do people usually leave their keyboard & trackpad on all the time or do they turn it off and turn it back on every time they're using it? I turn them off after I shut down my imac but I'm getting tired of it. Would the battery drain a lot if I just leave it on?

I leave mouse and keyboard on. idle usage overnight seems tiny.

I just leave them on standby. Doesn't seem to drain very much battery.

I leave my (Logitech K811) keyboard as well as the Apple TrackPad on continuously unless I will be on vacation for over a couple of days. Get excellent battery life from both.

If you are not using them, they go to sleep and consume very little power. I leave both mine on and they last weeks at a time on a charge.

Yes, leave them on. That's how they were designed to operate.

I've never turned mine off ever. As others have mentioned, they auto sleep.
