Do you like Apple's use of translucency?

Is anyone else getting tired of the translucency in iOS? The dock ruins wallpapers and the translucency can look unsightly at times. Would you prefer a whiter or darker UI?

I consider my phone more of a tool for communications. How my wallpaper looks, at times, is not an issue to me.

Beautiful in some spots and unnecessary in others I think. I love the translucency at the top of the "movies" tab in iTunes for example.

You can turn it off if you don't like it

Setting > General > Increase Contrast > Reduce Transparecy

Yes I hate the dock and have hated it since iOS 7 when it was first implemented. I was hoping it would be changed in iOS 11, but doesn't seem like it.

I'm so tired of the frosty look. It makes all my wallpaper look grey at the bottom. Apple needs to take notes from the google pixel who does translucency the right way.
