Main Issues
I've had my new 15" MacBook Pro for about a month now, and I am hating the Touch Bar. I've taken to putting the sound control and brightness control as options in the Finder Menu Bar: it's annoying to change these settings on the Touch Bar. As I use these controls many times throughout the day, it's awkward to use it, having to take the eyes off of the screen and then move your hand and hit the little targets on the Touch Bar. It's slow and inefficient compared to hit targets on screen.
I also find that the low resolution of the Touch Bar makes it a tad difficult to use: if the resolution was higher it might improve the experience slightly. Further to this, it's a bit jarring to go between the super sharp Retina screen and the relatively low resolution of the Touch Bar. Additionally, I find the Touch Bar options within applications like iMovie, GarageBand, Word, Pages... are useless insofar as it's faster, more efficient, and more precise for me to use on screen controls. I am trying to keep an open mind though and will continue testing this to see if I end up liking some aspects of it.
Spurious Inputs
Finally, there has been several times where my hand/finger has "brushed" the Touch Bar only to realize that I've activated "Esc" or "Siri". It's quite annoying. For instance, I didn't realize it but I sometimes will rest my left hand and pinky finger slightly up and around the Touch Bar area and on an angle where there used to be physical buttons. Doing that also can sometimes engage the "Esc" key. But overall, it's the bushing over the Touch Bar that is resulting in spurious inputs. It doesn't happen a lot, but enough that it's a tad annoying.
So overall, I'm struggling with the Touch Bar. How about you?
