After the jailbreak. And you have the Installer on your IPT, do you need wifi to install apps (such as NES, moblieFinder, or iPhone apps)? Sorry for the noob question but I am new to wifi, ipods, and hacking all together. Please do not tell me to search the forum to find the answer because I already did and was returned with no results.

No you do not, but it is much easier. You can SSH into your Touch and put the apps and appropriate packages in their specific locations.

yes you do need WiFi .. but you really don't need a router .. you can create your own wireless connection using airport and connect to your ipod touch with that.

I posted a tutorial somewhere on how to put apps on the iPod Touch without SSH and/or WiFi, its here somewhere, do a search. You do need MobileTerminal installed on the iPod first though, and you do need Windows.

Here is the thread you mentioned.

You do say at the beginning that you're assuming a jailbroken iPod, so you probably have to use something like iJailBreakMe to do that first.

So, I stand corrected -- it does look like you could do it without WiFi using the above apps.

Not true, you can jailbreak the iPod with touchFree, like I did, with no SSH/WiFi needed at all. It even installs Installer.app and SummerBoard as well.
