Do you own a Sega Saturn?

You need to get a Dreamcast or a Gamecube and play through Skies of Arcadia, stat.

I second that. :( PS 2 is my favorite console RPG. I have have the GBA collection.

Used to. Didn't keep it for too long though. It broke a month in and instead of an exchange I got a refund and used the money to buy a bunch of beer. I rule!
 
Of course, they're awesome!

I love Mechwarrior for it. It was one of the very few games that looked better than the PSX version, as the programmers were able to fully use both processors in the Saturn version.

Sega made great systems, very underrated...
 
I was in an anime club in high school and college (I was young what can I say :p) and the guy who ran it had imported one...later also was the first to have a Dreamcast. Didn't really ever do it for me. That and the Turbo Graffix 16 are consoles I didn't really enjoy for whatever reason. Games were OK, but then again I wasn't at the stage I am now with ability to appreciate games....seemed to play a lot of sports games, fighters, and other crap back in the day.
 
Yes. Hasn't been used in probably 10 years. I should bring it out though.

I have a NES as well that hasn't been used in probably the same amount of time.
 
I don't have a Saturn but know a number of people who do. I've only seen a bit of Panzer Dragoon Saga but it looks like it would have been really neat for its time.

More amusing though was getting a kick out of the horrible loading times some games had. One that stands out was the game of Street Fighter the Movie.

I guess there is a certain level of nostalgia for Sega consoles now that they've been out of the business for so long. Despite having barely touched a Dreamcast during its original run, I didn't hesitate to pick up and fix a broken one when it was offered to me. With Rez and Ikaruga on the xbox arcade though, it's pretty much been reduced to Marvel vs. Capcom duty :D

I guess we're all just saps for our younger days, eh? ;)

Why? I've only heard of Skies of Arcadia but know nothing about it.

Is it in the vein of Phantasy Star? Or by the same creators or something?

If I don't get to fight a Dark Force (or Dark Falz :) ) at the end, I'll be disappointed !!
