Do you plan on getting the smaller iPhone 7S model?

The OLED model will likely be £800 plus and not everybody wants a 5.8" iPhone. The rumours all suggest all iPhones will use OLED eventually anyway so it's just a waiting game.

I don't see everybody going for the OLED model as many already skip the 7 plus despite features like duel cameras. The size will put people off. If rumours are true people might even be buying a 128gb SE iPhone this year.

Rumors say the iPhone 8 will be almost same size as iPhone 7 with a larger screen because it will be using more display real estate.

I personally am looking forward to the OLED model. I really grew accustomed to the 7 Plus, so I'm looking forward to something completely revamped with a new display. And with Apples marketing tendencies, they will certainly advertise the 5.8 OLED model heavily.

I do agree that the larger variant of the iPhone is not for everyone, for obvious reasons for size and portability. But it does offer quite a few more advantages over the 4.7 inch iPhone. And I do believe we will see an increase storage on the iPhone SE, if we have a keynote in March or April.

Actually, the current rumors are pending a 4.7 inch/5.5 inch LED model, followed by the 5.8 OLED model. But in theory, rumors are worthless, being it's all speculative But if I had to believe one rumor, it would certainly be that we will see OLED.

Current rumors are an iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S plus and an iPhone X or 8. The iPhone X or 8 will have OLED AND will be same size or not much bigger than the current iPhone 7 but with a larger OLED screen.

Which would mean that it would have reduced bezels and more of an edge to edge display, if it's going to be a 5.8 iPhone.

Yeah. I've got the 7 plus right now and I'm already over bigger phones again. Sure the extra battery life, better camera, more RAM were good improvements but I just really like how my 6s feels.

I'll likely be getting the regular 7s this year.

But you will miss the special OLED model :(

Also a 2:1 (/18:9) aspect ratio rather than the current 16:9. The maths seems to work out that a 5.8" screen, a 2:1 aspect ratio and smaller bezels will lead to a phone essentially no bigger than the current iPhone 7. Especially considering the useable part of the screen will only be 5.15" if rumours are correct.

Seems to be a trend of longer screens this year with the LG G6 and Galaxy S8 adopting similar designs.

I think the more pertinent question is whether iPhone Plus users will be willing to step down to a smaller phone and useable screen area. I imagine next year or the year after there will be two OLED sizes: the 5.8" rumoured phone, and a six-point-something-inch 'Plus' version.

Completely depends on the layout of the phone for me. With minimal bezels I'll consider it.

As far as aspect ratio goes...I prefer 16:9. Typically I'm rotating my phone into landscape to maximize the screen size for a video. With anything other then 16:9 you loose screen space by introducing black bars.

Conversely a lot of other things can maximize screen space with more squarer ratios. Like photos for example.

Hmm...Basically I'll need to see it so I can make a more informed buying decision lol.

I think i will wait to see what features of each actually are. Normally don't make plans on rumors. I have found planning based on rumors usually means I have to change those plans when facttual information and reviews are available.

Its also a good way to set yourself up for disappointment. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised then horribly disappointed.

Quite true. Although "horribly disapointed" I reserve for things like kids overdosing on drugs, or getting a childish lier as president, when i was promised something else.

Frankly, my iphone 7 Plus 256GB Jet Black has been the best iphone I have ever had. Not a single issue, still looks pristine new. It's fast, great screen, super battery life, great radio reception. Does everything i ask it to. I may just skip the next version, unless it has some monumental improvements over what I already consider a perfect portable computing device. I wouldn't mind not having $45 monthly payment for a year.

That's exactly why I bought mine. I bought a 6 plus and used it for 2 weeks and returned it for the 6. I just couldn't see going to a bigger phone. But now that I've gotten a plus I really don't use my iPad mini cause the plus has taken its place. I gave the iPad mini to my daughter since I don't use it.

am planing on getting the iphone 7S i all ways like getting the S upgrade

Prefer the OLED and please be the biggest screen (prefer 18:9) and greater features.

I said it before and saying it again now...my next phone will have an OLED display.

A Samsung phone was an outside chance, but since all the indications are that the S8 will be too big, it leaves Apple or the Pixel 2.

I can't see buying a 7s......no 3.5mm jack, no OLED, same design.

Nothing to excite me == staying w/my 6s

In all likelihood I'll be going OLED. I always tend to go for the higher spec out of habit anyway.
Besides, it'll be nice to finally have an OLED on the iPhone. Not that I've any major complaints about the current screen on my 7+.
