I just received my MacBook Air and one of the keys does not register completely. I would imagine that it would be a simple fix at the Apple Store but I did but it from Amazon and I am within the return window.

For most members here, do you prefer having a brand new unit replaced or would you just go to the Apple Store and have them fix a component if you are within the return window?

I would get it replaced if you dont need it at the minute.

But if you are in a deep need like I am, replacing would not be worth it.
Going to Apple store and doing all paper work, then transfer your files back to your new machine?

Not worth it

Well I went to go fix the key and they just gave me a brand new replacement model. I watched the Apple Genius open the brand new box and just hand me the new MacBook Air.

I think they didn't want to go through the trouble of repairing it. It didn't matter that I purchased the MacBook from Amazon. I ended up getting a Samsung SDD and an LG display.

<= 14 days of ownership its your call (get it replaced)
> 14 days its apple's call and they will repair before they replace
