I was thinking can the Otterbox Defender plastic screen protector can have similar protection as a pretty good glasses protector, then I find this:
and I would say it cannot. Yeah the glasses may break the phone fails down but it should have better protection for that impact comparing to what do you see from this video.

...it's plastic....

yeah, actually I just watch a video doing the exact test comparing plastic protector protect strength comparing to a glasses kind, it is too different. Of course glasses would break after some amount of force but it is very different from plastic.
[doublepost=1461599120][/doublepost]So the conclusion is buying a bulky case with all edges thick protection with a glasses protector would be better than defender with the default plastic thing on it.

If you want to compare screen protectors, go here:

Otterbox Defender is not even in the list, how to compare?
That's b/c it's a case, not a screen protector. You started this thread discussing the screen protector aspect and the fact that plastic protects less than glass does.

I suggested where to find plastic/glass screen protector reviews and comparison.

Besides, if you searched that same site, you would find a plethora of Otterbox reviews. It's not that hard.
[doublepost=1461605144][/doublepost]P.S. Why would you post this anyway? The video is more than a year old and of a random guy dropping is Galaxy S6. What does this have to do with iPhones in April of 2016 at all?

Because Otterbox never improves its stuff anyway. The screen protector which is attached the case is still a protector but it is a plastic so it doesn't provide much protection as you can see in the video.

And you thought that putting a random 1-year-old video smashing a Samsung Galaxy S6 by a guy no one has ever heard of on a MacRumors forum was the most germane way to discuss this? Well ok then.

He shows you a real test how weak it is, cannot you see the glasses of the phone are all broken? What can be better than a real test? I don't care who he is but he did a real test, do you have problem with that? Are you saying Defenser plastic protector is stronger than glasses? I show you the proof but do you have any at all? What are you trying to say at all? That kid is better than you since he did a real test while you show nothing and just BS in a forum.
