As someone who lives in Los Angeles and has a 2WD Crossover/SUV (mostly just wanted it for the extra height), I actually think it's a pretty apt analogy.

Not even close. And by the way, I live in Arkansas, with a 2WD Chevy pickup, and I make it through our rough backroads and winters just fine. The analogy is worthless. Glad it helps you, though.

You sounded exactly like someone arguing how they make it though "just fine" with their 32gb. Even with the same attitude .

Your action just proves the analogy was perfect. Thank you. And the more you come back and argue, the more it proves my point.

Uh, huh. Keep telling yourself that.

I can't see 32GB being a problem for the average user on the high street who just want an iPhone; it will actually be a bonus for them having the extra room.

For us enthusiasts maybe it is too small (I'm not sure) but I sure as hell know that I much prefer having too much space than too little.

I 'regret' getting the 128, more I realise I won't even use half of that. I think 32GB would have been sufficient definitely, don't really store music but I think I'll start now just so I can utilise and justify the storage.

I've managed with 16 then 32 on my last android.
I'd probably return for the 32, If i didn't have to go through a credit check again for the payment plan.
Don't particular want to return then pay in full immediately just to get the 32 and avoid another check.

More to consider now...

You do know that video is clickbait and that is exactly what he did to get his views up to make more money. There have been tests to show its not true mostly at all. if you run that test 100 times you'll get different speeds randomly. Even if there is some truth to it, in the real world you will not encounter an issue where you wish the upload speeds were faster. It's something to trick your brain.

I never had an iPhone 7 (or even the 7+), but I wanted to find exceptions for "If you are using cloud storage for photos, 32GB should be plenty".
Yup, I just edited my post, see above^

"back in the day" 32GB was a big step for Apple. My first iPhone was iPhone 4 with 8GB. Remember they didn't have the cameras they do now resolution wise, live photos, etc.

Just got an iPhone 7 32gb from a user on this forum to replace my water damaged SE. Hoping it lasts me until the iPhone 13 or 14. We'll see! I got a great price on it and it was in mint condition.

Nice, I had a 7 and a 7+, they’re great phones. You should definitely get another couple of years out of it.

The iPhone 7 was my favorite phone to date. Very similar to the iPhone 8, but with lighter properties with the 7000 series aluminum versus an ‘all glass back’ like the iPhone 8 has. When Apple introduced the stereo speakers, water resistance and haptic home button, that was trifecta for me with that phone specifically. Zero issues and spot on reliability.

I work in a machine shop and had my phone in my pocket every day. After about a year it became difficult for others to hear me during a call, and FaceTime was becoming difficult because I couldn’t be heard. I brought my phone in and they gave me another, which did the exact same thing over time. They told me the mics were broken and the top speaker was on its way out. My wife has a 7 we got at the same time, and she’s still on her first.. but with a new battery so maybe it depends on your lifestyle. My other iPhones had no problems like that.

Actually, being practical is the least of my concerns, and I suspect that is true for many people. After all, if you are buying an iPhone in the first place, being thrifty isn't your main concern.

I can tell you that my iPhone purchases are unduly influenced by daydreaming about what will feel better and what will make me happier. I enjoy personal technology quite a bit, and I have no problem admitting that the prospect of having a flagship iPhone with lots of storage makes me happy.

There are other ways to be happy and we all know that's so. But surely, buying a fancy iPhone is one of the easiest ways.
