I basically just got the iPhone X on release date couldn't open it till very late in the day, ended up falling asleep before it could actually die, but woke up in the middle of the night killed it and plugged it in so it could charge to 100% now the problem comes in here I did not get to charge it to 100% due to having to be at work early in the morning it got to about 70% so does this mean my battery is ruined? Also after it died that day I just kept it dead till I got home and was able to let it get to 100.

It's not a child or a dog. You don't have to train it. That was back in the nimh days. Lithium polymer batteries do not develop memory.
