mine does well. im hoping im not jynxin' myself.

but it does well, i remember the 1st time she was dropped and i cringed...but she's taken a few beatings....but she's holding strong.

I spent alot of time on my mac. I wake up go on it, go to work, come back go on it, stay on it most of the night.

If i do go out places i typically have my iPhone with me, and i will check certain websites, or apps throughout my night out. It is an obsession, but i do not let it ruin my personal life....to much

yeah when i first bought it i thought it wouldnt last since i assumed since it looked so nice it wasn't durable...

no dents...but a few days ago i had her in my backpack in the passenger seat and slammed hard cause of some dumb drive in front of me and the backpack flew and hit the dashboard...HARD. but she walked out unscathed.

i know but...i think in today's world...at least in mine...i need to be "connected."

When i'm at home I def. have a problem of killing time cause of my macbook. Mostly it's being online and frivolous sites but i'm working on it....so it's not the Mac to blame but computers in general.

But still, there are a few things on the computer that i do need in order to function from day to day...

plus right now i have my Gmail set up send me SMS messages to my phone so i don't miss an important email...

and when im not at home, i feel i could use to check my email, or beter yet read important files of mine...and with a touch i feel like i wont have to be stuck at home base so much and be able to live life out and about, with the worry of important emails, or important files to read..

Argh! i want an ipod touch so much now!

I spend way too much time. I use it for taking notes during class, I commute using it, I do work on it, I use it for my work during the weekends. Damn this is like a STD. Once you got it, you got it for life!

You'll just end up doing what you always do, but in different places. You'll start seeking out places with WiFi and camp out there instead of at home. But either way, you'll continue the very habits you wish to curb.

I love my iPod touch. I take it almost everywhere. I want an iPhone, but can't stomach the idea of going with AT&T(had them before and hate them). I will just wait until the iPhone is available to all the carriers I guess.

So i gotta ask, cause of it are you still on the mac a lot or no?

See, the main reason i'm ever online is....GOOGLE.

It's google cause I need to check my email, would love to check my GCal, docs and reader would also be nice but not that important all the time...

So with a touch i'd figure i could close the mac, not be home, and not worry. That doesn't mean i'll be attached to the Touch ALL the time...I do have a life. But with a touch i figure i don't have to be at home and the touch could only enhance my life, outside of home. does this make sense or am i just convincing myself?

Honestly, i think i'm making a good point. I really feel that way.

You'll still have to find a WiFi connection to use, so the potential for disrupting your day is still there.

well of course, but im not saying i need to be connected all the time. if it was like that then i'd probably just be browsing the web all day...

at most i see myself enjoying a youtube video, or an app. most likely apps right?

Before I got the iPod touch I took my Macbook everywhere. I still take my Macbook out a lot, but not as much due to my iPod touch. Just depends on what I need to do. I look at my iPod touch like I guess most people do. As a fun toy. I don't need it. I just wanted it. I highly recommend one if you have the extra cash.

Right, there's nothing wrong with buying a toy, if you admit that's what it is for you. But there is something wrong with trying to rationalize that purchase and fooling yourself. If you don't have a really definite need for the thing, and see yourself mostly just "enjoying a youtube video, or an app", fine: do something good and then say to yourself that you've earned a reward.

Depends on what your definition of "too much time" is? 0-4 hours? 4-8 hours? 8+ hours?

My wife would be better at answering this question...

mmm, i would think an ipod touch just as a toy would be a waste...cause we can still listen to music with a shuffle, or still do what it can but on a macbook....

i would only buy the touch if i could implement it into my daily activities and make sure it's not lying around. im sure thats not the case for any of you.

i had the iphone earlier this year for 2 weeks and loved it. i remember being so productive in many aspects (School especially) except when making calls. i really think ATT sucks, at least in L.A. anyways.
