Do you still check the 9-pin connector?

I can't seem to be able to not look at the charging cable to see if its right-side-up when plugging it into my phone.

Oh Yes

After years of originally having an ipod, then iphone then ipad it is going to take a while to get use to the new connector.

So yes I still double check, the really brain fuzz is charging my iphone 5 vs ipad 3, going to be annoying having different cables.

Have this problem too, then after two seconds of looking at it I finally remember it goes both ways lol

Same here. A lot of the time, I'd try to plug in my iPhone 4 in the dark, so it was really trial and error.

I've been catching myself checking it. If it had some kind of logo on it, I'd still insert it logo side up every time.

I'm guilty of checking. A long time ago when I had the original Droid I rarely cheek the micro USB port and it eventually got damaged. Verizon replaced it for me.
