I'm thinking about getting an iPhone Air. I know that some of you have bought one and had a "wow" experience when first using it, but do you still feel that way about the phone? Or is it a phase that has faded? I'd like to know.

Yep, I still love it. I have been rocking it without a case, but, I do have a screen protector on just in case.

Yes..coming from a 15 Pro Max it is an absolute joy to use! :)

I go caseless at home and when I leave the house I have the old school black leather Apple MagSafe wallet attached. It’s the perfect combination with a naked Air.

Here’s a good perspective on the iPhone Air.

I still like using the Air.

If you are considering getting the Air, the only opinion you need to look to is your own. Asking strangers if they like the Air and using that as a reason to determine whether you buy one, is logical fallacy at its best. Buy the phone and if you don't like it before the 14 day return expires, return it.

I really don't understand the constant need on the forum for approval from others.

I concur, but at least constant discussion on tech popularity contests is a source of amusement for me.

Feedback and opinions from others is one of the main points of a forum. Getting people's experience after using a product for a while is a perfectly legitimate research tool when contemplating a big purchase.

Asking if strangers on a forum like their phone and using those subjective reason answers as a basis for purchase is illogical. It doesn't matter whether other strangers like their phone. They should have no say in any financial decision the OP makes in regards to the Air. And yet, the OP is wanting to give complete strangers that kind of power.

It makes more sense for the OP to go to the Apple Store, if one is near by, and test the phone in person. If that isn't enough time, the OP should purchase the Air and test it further during the return period deadline. The OP should not be looking to strangers to help make a buying decision.

Especially with polarizing phone like Air. The same way 13 mini was not for everyone, it is still the best phone for some, but you will never know until you’ve tried personally using it.

I would say for phones like air and mini, the graph will have heavy left and right tails with not so much big hump in the middle median zone. If 98% of people said this is the best phone it would have obviously made the choice for people like OP easier, but again that is not happening with such a divisive phone lines.

Of course - it’s THE best iPhone since the X; battery lasts almost two days, the camera is fine, it’s razor thin and light, has always-on display, has ProMotion, has the latest processor and a titanium frame.
The only ones hating it are the ones who don’t have it, either because they are too poor, or because they bought something else and don’t want to admit remorse now.

100% still loving my Air. Got it on Launch Day, and I use it caseless. As it's been over a month now and I've talked to people out and about, who've asked me about it, here's what I say:

- Battery life is a non-issue, unless you are a power user. I easily get through the day without having to charge or top-up. (If anything, I'm trying to be on my phone less, be more present / in the moment)

- Still love the feel of it, and holding it. Especially when I pick-up someone else's Pro or Pro Max again (I came from a 15 Pro Max)

- Goldilocks size screen for me between the Pro and Pro Max. Also because it's thinner, it's easier to use / type one-handed (since I'm curling my fingers around one side of the screen when holding)

- Camera: this to me is the #1 constraint / variable on whether this phone makes sense for people. If you use the 0.5x or the 3x/4x/5x TelePhoto a lot, you'll miss it. In my 1mo+ of having the phone, I only one time wished I had the Zoom lens. And it was watching my kid play soccer, and taking a video, I wanted to zoom in more closely on them. Instead of digital-zooming further, I just used the 2x, and it was fine

I still get comments from people who've never held one before when I'm out. They are consistently wow'ed when they hold it and feel it in their hand.

I am sure OP is not going to just base his purchase off of recommendations here. He/she is just looking for reassuring comments. I am sure they will definitely check it out in person. Do you not ask people for recommendations on restaurants? It's the same thing.

There are probably a lot more iPhone Air sales at the moment because they are actually available, with Amazon even giving £100 discounts on some days. iPhone 17 and Pro/Max are literally sold out everywhere.

I returned my Air. I saw some iPhone mini owners happy with it and figured I'd give it a try but I found it too big for one-hand use.

Something like a 6.1" version of the iPhone Air even if it's 1mm thicker would suit me better. Or really, 5.8" like the iPhone X with smaller bezels. Unfortunately, I don't see phones under 6" making a comeback.

Exactly! I don’t see why asking for people’s opinions on an iPhone enthusiast message board is looked down upon or ridiculed. I’d do the same thing..as well as going to an Apple Store and checking it out in person. On top of that..I’d watch a ton of iPhone Air reviews on YouTube.

I was going to return it for... other reasons... but a busy weekend later and suddenly I'm out of the return period. Oh well, it's a great phone regardless of my personal beliefs.

Very sleek, very luxurious. Battery is good, nothing to complain or write home about. I don't take many photos but the one camera is very, very good so no issues there. Gets nice and bright outside yet does not run as hot as my 13 mini. Cell reception is good. I use earbuds because I'm not a barbarian, so the mono speaker doesn't bug me.

I guess my one complaint strictly about the device is that the bump-on-a-bump plateau. Would've been nice if the camera was flush with the plateau.

iOS 26 is... well, I wish it wasn't, but c'est la vie.
