do you think a new ipad is coming

Hey i was wondering if you guys/girls think a new ipad is coming soon because of the ipad 3,1 and ipad 3,2 in ios 5. i mean i dont think its going to be released but what do you think??

Doubt we'll see iPad 3 this year. iOS 5 will be enough of an update this fall, plus iphone 5 is now overdue (I am assuming it will come in sept with the new iPods to bring those release dates together). I don't expect new hardware til 2012.

Right, you cannot take the existence of those strings as meaning a new product is right around the corner. Those strings appear all the time in OSes, sometimes long in advance.

I would expect 2012 as well, although I heard one rumor that suggested maybe an iPad 3 before Christmas. If true, that would be the earliest you could expect to see a new iPad, about five months from now. And probably longer.

In March, Steve Jobs specifically said that "2011 is the year of the iPad 2", not the year of the iPad in general, so I don't think they'd release that and contradict themselves. Besides, why set up competition between the iPhone 5 in September with another iPad? Looks like they're already banking on success of iPhone with no mention of iPod Touch 🙂
