It seems to me that this site is big enough that they might look to this site for consumer feed back, what does everyone think?

Apple employees probably read these forums. That doesn't necessarily mean "Apple" as a corporation cares about what we think or talk about. I bet they monitor the rumor mills to see if they can determine where leaks are coming from, and where necessary to send their lawyers out.

I wouldn't be surprised, however, if some Apple programmers read the forums, and if occasionally they read our complaints and say "Yeah, I noticed that too, let's fix that".

It’s fairly well known that Apple employees visit the Web site and forums regularly. Arn has mentioned it before. And we’ve even had a few Apple employees try to answer questions before, the Apple TV Take 2 launch comes to mind.

However, for the most part I think Apple listens to feedback via their official channels (AppleCare, Web site, Apple Stores, Developer Program, etc) if they even want feedback (Jobs is famous for his hatred of focus groups, etc).

I really wouldn't be surprised if someone from marketing or product management checked out what's happening here once in a while. It is not an uncommon practice.

Yes. Apple keeps tabs of everything that is written about them. The execs may not but Apple is listening. *cue spooky sound*

This website has been hit with numerous cease and desists, i.e. they do monitor. This is the biggest apple rumor source on the web, you can bet that they keep tabs.

Microsoft have reps here answering questions on Office for Mac, so it would make sense that Apple would.

Edit* I couldn't remember her name, but then it came to me...nadyne

In case any high-ranking Apple executives are reading this thread--Please put blu-ray and USB 3.0 into the MBP's before I die in 40 or 50 years.
