Do you think Apple under estimated the iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd generation) demand?

It's in stock in my area, both LTE and wifi models. The 512 GB 12.9 is more limited based off my searchings.
It's 1-2 weeks on Apple site here so it's not super easy to get one but I think both models seem decent to get.
My ATT order for 256 SG showed two day shipping when I ordered on the 15th, then it was backordered to July 15-20th.
They have been available everywhere since release day where I am. I think they are too expensive to be flying off the shelves for the average user.
Pro 12.9 64GB and 256GB have been pretty easy to get in Los Angeles area (there are plenty of Apple Stores here) with all configurations available during first week. Dunno about now.
It's the Pro 12.9 512GB that's on backorder everywhere. I think at one point, you couldn't even order it from Best Buy website.

I envy you. Won't get mine until sometime in July (512GB AT&T).
It's worth the wait. Really enjoying this device. I have the cellular 512 space grey.
Same in San Diego. For my use, the 256GB model seems to be the sweet spot and they aren't available until July 17 in the stores here.
The Pro 12.9 256GB was available in LA on launch day and the day after (I was checking in-store stock via Apple website and there were 10 Apple Stores within a 20-mile radius, iirc). It was 512GB that was uber scarce.
My 512/LTE/SG was supposed to be here today or Monday according to Best Buy for Business logistics (on Tuesday). It hasn't shipped yet, and is once again unavailable. I'm assuming that means I won't get it next week either.

Around here and everywhere online, you cannot find a 12.9 Space Grey Wifi 512 GB in stock. Plenty of silver and gold, but no space grey. Apple really needs to offer the black bezel on another color!

All of the Space Gray WiFi models are not available in NYC until July 17th. I did not check the other colors or cellular. When I went in on launch day (early in the morning), I thought for sure they would not have any SG 12.9", very surprised and delighted that they did have the color and storage configuration I wanted.

They are scarce here in S. Fl only one of the 6 Apple stores have silver 64gb wifi 12.9's, and that's for tomorrow, none at AT&T. None at Best Buy, but at Best Buy you can still order some models for quick delivery. I went to Best Buy the other day and ordered one from my phone and received today.
