iPhone 12 mini Do you think Apple will continue selling the iPhone 12 Mini after September 2022?

Do you see them discontinuing the device after the iPhone 14 series is released? Similar to how they discontinued the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max while continuing to sell the iPhone 11 to this day?

I'm considering the 11 Mini, but could easily wait it out until September when there would hopefully be a $100 CAD price cut. Downside to waiting is that instead of discounting it, they could discontinue it.

I don't want to buy pre-owned and I'm not interested in the 13 Mini as the notch is too deep and cuts into standard 16:9 content.

What do you humps think?

Currently Apple keeps the 12 mini in the lineup. I don't see why they would stop it next year if the regular 12 remains on the lineup. From Apple's perspective, the mini is there to push people into paying more for the regular sized iPhone, so imo Apple will keep them.

Even if Apple discontinue selling 12 mini on Apple.com, there should still be stock available with third party retailers like Amazon etc.

There’s currently only 1 phone from the oldest generation (2019) available for sale.

By September, when the 12 series is the oldest generation, I think only the iPhone 12 will be available, basically replacing the iPhone 11.

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max will all be discontinued.

I agree except for the 11. It will probably be replaced with the 12.

iPhone 11 is currently $499 US.

I think SE 5G puts a cost pressure on Apple and we might see a $50 price increase.

Also, BOM costs for iPhone 12 are about 20% higher than iPhone 11. So I don’t think Apple is willing to lower iPhone 12 mini to $499.
