I'm not entirely sure. They've only recently introduced the bottom-end iMac which has opened up a whole new market for them (in NZ the new one is $1499 whereas the bottom used to be $1999). That's a big difference to a lot of people wanting to buy a home computer -- it's a bit more than a normal computer rather than double.
I think they'll continue to offer a bottom-end machine, which might not have Fusion.
