Do you think I would be happy with a Neo?

It's funny when people compare a 5-6 year old MBA with full storage and who knows how much SSD read/write to a new Neo... before making such a comparison, at the very least they should wipe the MBA's SSD and install a new OS.

BUT… It’s not just the keyboard, it’s MacOS—which is lightyears better than iPadOS.

Mind you, they each have their own niche of superiority. iPads are better at tablet things—reading books, writing or drawing with the Apple Pencil. Macs are way better at file management and, as a consequence, better at productivity tasks (spreadsheets, word processing, complex photo and video editing). They each have their place but if I could only have one, I’d pick the Mac. The best part of the Neo is that its very affordable price means more people can enjoy both.

Yes Mac OS is great, but the iPP M4 that OP has can do these tasks easily, and is much better at Complex photo and video editing than the Neo in terms of raw performance (We are talking 2-3 times difference here), let alone doing this on a Tandem OLED display with perfect colour and contrast. The MKB at £250 would just make these tasks even easier. Anyway OP got an M4 MBA so all resolved in the end.

Also, photo editing is much better with... a pencil.

Quick question: does the iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard open to any angle, or just one?

Reality is as a laptop the selection of angle range is fine.

Vs. a laptop, you can remove the thing from the keyboard.

Absolutely I get that, but this is a Magic Keyboard, its magical so of course its better!
