I'm using a late 2013 13" rMBP 2.6/8/256 and would like to upgrade to something faster but keep the ports.

I use MagSafe, thunderbolt port, headphone jack, and the older shaped USB ports DAILY.

Used or refurbished, I wouldn't spring for a new one.

As for your question, you answered it yourself- you want something faster, but with the same ports. From Apple that leads you to the 2015 15' exclusively. So therefore it seems like it would be "worth it" for you.

If I absolutely, positively HAD TO BUY a new/refurbished MacBook Pro TODAY, I -would not- buy a 2017 model or 2016 Apple-refurbished (because of the keyboard failures and lack of ports).

I -would- buy either a new 2015-design MacBook Pro 15" or an Apple Refurbished MBP 13".
