Do you think new Magic Mice and Keyboards will work on current Macs?

The rumored and probably coming new Magic Mouse and Keyboard are BT 4.2. So, do you think they'll work on current Macs - for example, the iMac 5K has BT 4.0

I'm guessing they should work, but no one seems to talk about that on the web. So, thoughts?

This document seems to claim that Bluetooth 2.1 will still be supported.
