I don't mind northface but this always made me laugh.

I have a 30 litre or so North Face backpack. It is OK but nothing special. The Macpac, Lowe, Berhaus and Kathmandu ( a way overpriced Australian NZ brand) backpacks I also own seem better quality. To be fair, the North Face is made out of nylon, but the others are made of cordura so they seem tougher.

I have never owned a NF backpack. I was commenting on the NF jackets that I own.

all brand name clothing is expensive for the most part. I bought a pair of PJs and a zip hoodie from American Eagle last night because they were having a sale of 40% off. They wouldn't be offering 40% off and not make a profit so just image how much profit they are making when they are not having a sale.

I have a several north face jackets. They are warm and last a while. I have 2 Denali fleeces a lighter weight fleece and a winter jacket of some sort. I think its called the Plasma? The fleeces are main jackets for the winter and if its snowing or extremely cold i grab the PLasma jacket.

Plasma thermal is now overpriced. When I got it two years ago, it was $100 cheaper at North Face. Guess everyone liked it and price went up. I recently gave it to my brother since the synthetic wasn't the warmest for me. I now own a Glitchin Down. Sure it was $450, but it works very well. It has down insulation vs primaloft in the Plasma so it is so much warmer with the same Hyvent Alpha shell. Works great as a day to day jacket and on the slopes while snowboarding or playing with my dog in the cold.

I don't think TNF is overpriced. Sure, it's expensive, but well worth it for my needs. I do, however, own a lot of Marmot shells and those are really nice.
