With people seemingly getting more and more comfortable with larger phones with every passing year, do you think this is year the iPhone 6S Plus outsells the iPhone 6S?

Do you think that the iPhone 6S Plus will outsell the iPhone 6S?

How should we know ? Is this an important question ? o_O

Everyone who wanted the 6+ is officially over the size factor. My local apple store for the 6/6+ launch was initially out of the 6+ and the order wait time was longer than the 6. With that said the smaller 6 will outsell the 6+
I initially had 6 then went to a 6+. Then went straight back to the 6. YMWV

I'm starting to wonder if maybe the fad of giant screens isn't starting to wear off or maybe its just me. I have a 6 and a 6+ and i'm starting to use the 6 more and more.

The 6 Plus size is too big for most people. Us technology people are open to change and like the bigger size, but for my family and for most people, the 6 itself is almost too big.

The 6S Plus will be the geek phone and the 6S will be the phone for everyone else.

Not a chance. Most people do not want a phone as large as the 6+. The 6S will handily outsell the 6S Plus just as the 6 did the 6+. It also doesn't help that the 5.5" phone costs $100 more as many people will just buy the absolute cheapest iPhone available.

Because he was hoping that someone who didn't care about the thread would post a smart remark. He has succeeded.
Your response/explanation is simply a working definition of "troll". And I don't buy it. It's simply a useless pointless thread. The aims of a troll are usually a little more ambitious than what you posit.

iPhone 6+ is not necessarily a "techie" phone. Let's not forget oversized phones (6+, Galaxy Note, etc) are popular among females. They carry bags and purses, so they don't mind carrying larger phones.

That being said, Plus version of iPhone will not outsell the regular models due to price.

And size.

At one point, the 6 was outselling the 6+ by 3-1. Some of that may have been due to supply constraints, but the 6 remains much more popular.

I was one of those who thought the 6+ was too big so bought the 6. Had mine since 2nd week in sept. Now I feel my 6 is small.

I think the people upgrading from 4S,5 and 5S will mostly go for the 6S and not the +. I think the cycle of up down will continue with the 7.

Conclusion, no one knows except for apple because only apple has the sale records plotted in a graph over the years.

didn't they have a manufacturing defect that was the cause of that. Memory problem that they changed.

That was a small problem. Even had it not happened, the projected sales mix was still wrong.

Apparently they are producing the phones at a 2:1 ratio of 6S:6S Plus, and the 6:6 Plus sales apparently were selling at 3:1. This is a sign that they could be offering less money for the bigger phones. I hope that they do.

Personally I think there is not a chance in hell a 6S+ would outsell a 6S.

I'd further be willing to bet a lot of people that are going to upgrade from a 4S, 5, or 5S, won't be buying a 6S even non plus because of the size difference. I know I will be holding on to my 5S until another 4 inch device is released, or until it dies which hopefully it has many years ahead of it just in case.

Agreed, and for the ones that do I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them have the same thinking that I do of if you have to give up one handed use for the sake of getting a new phone then you might as well go as big as you can to get more advantage from a big screen to make up for the loss of one handed use.

I still feel that the iPhone 6 size is an awkward in-between size that is too big for most people to use with one hand, but not big enough to get a lot of the benefits that come with a large screen on a phone.

That said I still think that the 6S will outsell the 6S+ simply because most people will buy the cheapest iPhone they can get.

6+ will never outsell the 6 because it is more expensive. Also a lot of iphone users are resistant to phablets. Heck they were resistant to the 4.7 screen on the 6.

I don't know if its the area i live but i see a lot of iphone 6+ but it is mostly women. Maybe dudes don't like it because it doesn't fit in their pocket comfortably.

I think bend gate also swayed some people away from buying the 6+

I myself orginally had the iphone 6 but after 4 months of owning it felt small. So I went out and got a 6+ and never looked back.

Yes, I'll be buying one. Even though it will not be connected to a mobile service provider. Just want to help Apple sales.

Yeah, I know I'll get flamed. Just being an owner is just fine with me.
