The x and xs hit the sweet spot for me, imo.
They had the ideal size, design, and weight that appealed to what aesthetical notions I may have.
I equate the weight in those phones with quality, whereas light phones I equate with cheap.
The 14 pro with its slab sides and increased weight just feels bulky.and over the top.
It does not exude quality any longer.
I think that the slab appearance also emphasises its excess weight, and a disinterest in the product by its designers.
